Letter from the CEO

This is the first e-letter produced by Family Service Agency of San Francisco. We want to use technology to reach out to our supporters to increase their understanding of FSA, its challenges and its successes. So welcome to a new age of FSA-stakeholder communication. We hope you take a few minutes with this newsletter or that you will save this communication to an FSA folder in your email program and come back to it as you have time.
We have just recently sent out our Fall Campaign fundraising letter. It highlighted the contribution of one board member and her reflection upon how FSA serves as the safety net for so many vulnerable San Franciscan's. During these uncertain economic times, we are all anxious about our future, our family's future. At FSA, we support and serve 13,000 individuals and families and virtually every one faces unimaginable financial constraints, often choosing between rent, medication, insurance, or food. At the same time the state and local governments are withdrawing their support for crucial public services. Dating back to 1889, it has been FSA's historic role to fill this breach to provide not just a safety net, but a ladder.
If you have not yet made a donation, please pause and ask if you could not muster up a bit more. In these challenging times, your support is needed more than ever. And thank you for your past generosity. You may make a donation right now by clicking 'donate now' at the right.
Thank you.
Robert Bennett
CEO Family Service Agency of San Francisco
