Vickie Castro, Director: Human Resources

Vickie Castro joined FSA in November 2003 as a Human Resources manager. She was promoted to Director of Human Resources in March 2005. With more than 20 years’ experience in human resource management in both corporate and nonprofit arenas, Ms. Castro offers a wealth of experience in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, and training.
Prior to her arrival at FSA, Ms. Castro enjoyed a successful career in human resource management, specializing in the banking industry. She was Assistant Vice President and Human Resources Generalist at California Bank and Trust in Oakland, where she significantly expanded recruitment outreach and was responsible for the development of highly successful internal processes. She was also instrumental in resolving numerous employee-relations issues associated with the divestiture of several branch offices.
Ms. Castro also spent more than 15 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Bank of America, including serving as a Human Resources Analyst, a Personnel Specialist, and a Recruiting Specialist. In her career at Bank of America, Ms. Castro received extensive management training and held a variety of management positions.
Ms. Castro did degree work in Business Administration at City College of San Francisco and at Skyline College in San Bruno. She has two sons and her hobbies include salsa dancing, movies and quality family time. Ms. Castro lives in South San Francisco.
